Y Como vino Roboam à Ieruſalẽ, juntó la caſa de Iuda y de Ben-iamin, ciento y ochenta mil hombres escogidos de guerra para pelear contra Iſrael, y boluer el reyno à Roboam.

Y fue palabra de Iehoua à Semeias varon de Dios diziendo:

Habla à Roboam hijo de Salomon rey de Iuda, y à todos los Israelitas, que están en Iuda y en Ben-iamin, diziendoles:

Ansi há dicho Iehoua: No subays, ni peleeys contra vuestros hermanos: bueluase cada vno à ſu caſa, porque yo he hecho eſte negocio. Y ellos oyerõ la palabra de Iehoua, y tornaronſe, y no fueron contra Ieroboam.

¶ Y habitó Roboam en Ieruſalẽ, y edificó ciudades para fortisicar à Iuda.

Y edificó à Bethlehem, y à Ethan, y à Thecua.

Y à Beth-sur, y à Socho, y à Odollam.

Y a Geth, y à Maresa, y à Ziph.

Y à Aduram, y à Lachis, y à Azecha,

Y à Saraa, y à Aialon, y à Hebrõ, que eran en Iuda, y en Ben-iamin ciudades fuertes.

Fortificó tambien las guarniciones, y puso en ellas capitanes y vituallas, vino, y azeyte.

Y en todas las ciudades escudos y lanças: y fortificólas en gran manera, y Iuda y Ben-iamin le eran sujetos.
13
Y los Sacerdotes y Leuitas, que eſtauan en todo Iſrael ſe juntáron à el de todos ſus terminos.
14
Porque los Leuitas dexauã ſus exidos, y ſus possessiones, y ſe venian à Iuda, y à Ieruſalem, que Ieroboam y ſus hijos los echauã del ministerio de Iehoua.
15
Y el ſe hizo sacerdotes para los altos, y para los demonios, y para los bezerros que el auia hecho.
16
Tras ellos vinieron tambien de todos los tribus de Iſrael, los que auian pueſto ſu coraçon en buscar à Iehoua Dios de Iſrael: y vinieróse à Ieruſalem para sacrificar à Iehoua el Dios de ſus padres.

Y fortificaron el reyno de Iuda, y confirmaron à Roboam hijo de Salomon tres años, porque tres años anduuierõ en el camino de Dauid, y de Salomon.

Y tomose Roboam por muger à Mahalath hĩja de Ierimoth, hijo de Dauid: y à Abihail hija de Eliab, hijo de Isai,

La qual le parió hijos, à Ieus, Somoria, y Zoon.
20
Tras ella tomó à Maacha hija de Absalon: la qual le parió à Abias, Ethai, Ziza, y Salomith.
21
Mas Roboam amó à Maacha la hija de Absalon ſobre todas ſus mugeres y concubinas: porque tomó diez y ocho mugeres, y sesenta cõcubinas, y engendró veynte y ocho hijos, y sesenta hijas.

Y puso Roboam à Abias hijo de Maacha por cabeça y principe de ſus hermanos, porque lo queria hazer rey.

Y hizolo instruyr, y esparzió todos ſus hijos por todas las tierras de Iuda y de Ben-iamin, y por todas las ciudades fuertes, y dioles vituallas en abundãcia, y pidio muchas mugeres.
