Señor, durante generaciones tú has sido nuestro refugio.

Antes que se formasen los montes y la tierra y el orbe surgieran, desde siempre y para siempre tú eres Dios.

Tú haces que el ser humano vuelva al polvo, diciendo: ¡Regresad hijos de Adán!
4
Porque mil años son ante tus ojos como un día, como un ayer que ya pasó, como una vigilia en la noche.
5
Tú los arrastras al sueño de la muerte, son como hierba que brota en la mañana:

por la mañana brota y florece, por la tarde se agosta y se seca.
7
Con tu ira nos has consumido, con tu furor nos aterras.
8
Ante ti has puesto nuestras culpas, a la luz de tu faz nuestros secretos.
9
Nuestros días decaen bajo tu furia, como un suspiro pasan nuestros años.
10
Setenta años dura nuestra vida, durará ochenta si se es fuerte; pero es su brío tarea inútil, pues pronto pasa y desaparecemos.
11
¿Quién conoce el poder de tu cólera? Como tu furor, así es el respeto que inspiras.
12
Enséñanos a contar nuestros días y tendremos así un corazón sabio.
13
Vuélvete, Señor, ¿hasta cuándo? ¡Apiádate de tus siervos!
14
Cólmanos de tu amor por la mañana, para que cantemos alegres toda la vida.
15
Alégranos tanto como días nos afligiste, como años conocimos el mal.
16
Que se muestre a tus siervos tu obra y a tus hijos tu esplendor.
17
Que descienda sobre nosotros la gracia del Señor, nuestro Dios. Afianza la obra de nuestras manos; sí, afianza la obra de nuestras manos.
