«Desnudos y temblorosos se presentan los muertos ante Dios en el sitio adonde van.

Dios extiende el cielo sobre el espacio vacío, y cuelga la tierra de la nada.

Envuelve la lluvia en sus densas nubes, y las nubes no se rompen con ese peso.

Oculta su trono entre cortinas de nubes.

Pone límite al océano; sí, y limita el día y la noche.

Las columnas del cielo tiemblan cuando él reprende.

Y por su poder se calma el mar. Él es diestro en aplastar el orgullo de las aguas.

Embellece los cielos con su espíritu; clava a la serpiente que huye veloz.
14
Estas son algunas de sus obras más insignificantes; no más que un murmullo de su poder. ¿Quién podrá entonces resistir ante su trueno?».
