Que llegue ante ti mi oración; dígnate escuchar mi súplica.

Tan colmado estoy de calamidades que mi vida está al borde del sepulcro.

Ya me cuentan entre los que bajan a la fosa; parezco un guerrero desvalido.

Me han puesto aparte, entre los muertos; parezco un cadáver que yace en el sepulcro, de esos que tú ya no recuerdas, porque fueron arrebatados de tu mano.

Me has echado en el foso más profundo, en el más tenebroso de los abismos.

El peso de tu enojo ha recaído sobre mí; me has abrumado con tus olas. Selah

Me has quitado a todos mis amigos y ante ellos me has hecho aborrecible. Estoy aprisionado y no puedo librarme;

los ojos se me nublan de tristeza. Yo, SEÑOR, te invoco cada día, y hacia ti extiendo las manos.

¿Acaso entre los muertos realizas maravillas? ¿Pueden los muertos levantarse a darte gracias? Selah

¿Acaso en el sepulcro se habla de tu amor, y de tu fidelidad en el abismo destructor?

¿Acaso en las tinieblas se conocen tus maravillas, o tu justicia en la tierra del olvido?

Yo, SEÑOR, te ruego que me ayudes; por la mañana busco tu presencia en oración.

¿Por qué me rechazas, SEÑOR? ¿Por qué escondes de mí tu rostro?

Yo he sufrido desde mi juventud; muy cerca he estado de la muerte. Me has enviado terribles sufrimientos y ya no puedo más.

Tu ira se ha descargado sobre mí; tus violentos ataques han acabado conmigo.

Todo el día me rodean como un océano; me han cercado por completo.

Me has quitado amigos y seres queridos; ahora sólo tengo amistad con las tinieblas.
