El que habita a la sombra del Altísimo, se acoge a la protección del Todopoderoso.
2
Yo le digo al SEÑOR: «Tú eres mi refugio, mi fortaleza. Dios mío, confío en ti».
3
Dios te salvará de los peligros escondidos y de las enfermedades peligrosas,
4
pues te protegerá con sus alas y bajo ellas hallarás refugio. Su fidelidad será tu escudo y tu muralla protectora.
5
No te atemorizará el peligro de la noche, ni las flechas que se lanzan en el día;
6
tampoco la plaga que anda en la oscuridad, ni el destructor que llega a plena luz del día.
7
Mil caerán muertos a tu izquierda y 10 000 a tu derecha, pero a ti no te sucederá nada.
8
Solo fíjate y verás que los perversos recibirán su merecido.
9
Porque tú confiaste en el SEÑOR e hiciste que el Altísimo fuera tu protección.
10
Nada malo te sucederá, no ocurrirá ningún desastre en tu casa;
11
porque él dará orden a sus ángeles para que te protejan a dondequiera que vayas.
12
Ellos te levantarán con sus manos para que ninguna piedra te lastime el pie.
13
Pisotearás leones y serpientes venenosas; triunfarás sobre cachorros de león y sobre monstruos.
14
«Yo lo salvaré, porque me ama; lo protegeré, porque reconoce mi nombre.
15
Me llamará y yo le responderé; estaré con él cuando se encuentre en dificultades; lo rescataré y haré que le rindan honores.
16
Haré que disfrute de una larga vida y le mostraré mi salvación».
