Perpetuamente cantaré las misericordias del SEÑOR; con mi boca daré a conocer tu fidelidad de generación en generación.

Diré: “Para siempre será edificada la misericordia”. En los mismos cielos establecerás tu fidelidad.

“Yo hice un pacto con mi escogido; juré a mi siervo David, diciendo:

‘Para siempre confirmaré tu descendencia y edificaré tu trono por todas las generaciones’”. Selah

Los cielos celebrarán, oh SEÑOR, tus maravillas; y tu fidelidad, en la congregación de los santos.
6
Porque, ¿quién en las nubes se comparará con el SEÑOR? ¿Quién será semejante al SEÑOR entre los hijos de los poderosos?
7
Dios es temible en la gran asamblea de los santos; formidable sobre todos cuantos están a su alrededor.
8
Oh SEÑOR Dios de los Ejércitos, ¿quién como tú? ¡Poderoso eres, oh SEÑOR! Tu fidelidad te rodea.
9
Tú tienes dominio sobre la braveza del mar; cuando sus olas se levantan tú las sosiegas.
10
Tú quebrantaste a Rahab como a un cadáver; con el brazo de tu poder esparciste a tus enemigos.
11
Tuyos son los cielos, tuya es también la tierra; el mundo y su plenitud tú los fundaste.
12
Al norte y al sur, tú los creaste; el Tabor y el Hermón cantarán a tu nombre.
13
Tuyo es el brazo poderoso; fuerte es tu mano, exaltada tu diestra.
14
La justicia y el derecho son el fundamento de tu trono; la misericordia y la verdad van delante de tu rostro.
15
¡Bienaventurado el pueblo que conoce el grito de júbilo! Andarán a la luz de tu rostro, oh SEÑOR.
16
En tu nombre se alegrarán todo el día, y en tu justicia serán enaltecidos.
17
Porque tú eres la gloria de su poder, y por tu buena voluntad exaltarás nuestro poderío.

¡El SEÑOR es nuestro escudo! ¡Nuestro Rey es el Santo de Israel!

Antaño hablaste en visión a tus piadosos y les dijiste: “Yo he puesto el socorro sobre un valiente; he enaltecido a uno escogido de mi pueblo.
20
Hallé a mi siervo David y lo ungí con mi aceite santo.
21
Mi mano estará firme con él; también mi brazo lo fortalecerá.
22
No lo doblegará el enemigo; ningún hijo de iniquidad lo quebrantará.
23
Pero yo quebrantaré delante de él a sus enemigos, y heriré a los que le aborrecen.
24
Mi fidelidad y mi misericordia estarán con él; en mi nombre será enaltecido su poderío.
25
Asimismo, pondré su mano sobre el mar, y su mano derecha sobre los ríos.
26
Él me dirá: ‘Tú eres mi padre; eres mi Dios y la roca de mi salvación’.
27
Yo también le pondré por primogénito, más alto que los reyes de la tierra.
28
Para siempre le confirmaré mi misericordia, y mi pacto será firme para con él.
29
Estableceré su linaje para siempre, y su trono como los días de los cielos.
30
Si sus hijos dejan mi ley y no caminan en mis juicios,
31
si profanan mis estatutos y no guardan mis mandamientos,
32
entonces castigaré con vara su rebelión, y con azotes sus iniquidades.
33
Pero no retiraré de él mi misericordia, ni falsearé mi fidelidad.
34
No profanaré mi pacto, ni cambiaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.
35
Una vez he jurado por mi santidad, y no mentiré a David:
36
Su descendencia será para siempre; y su trono, delante de mí, como el sol.
37
Será como la luna que permanece firme para siempre; un fiel testigo en medio de las nubes”. Selah
38
Pero tú has desechado y menospreciado a tu ungido; te has airado contra él.
39
Tú has rechazado el pacto de tu siervo, y su diadema has profanado hasta el suelo.
40
Has roto todos sus vallados y has convertido en ruinas sus fortalezas.
41
Lo saquean todos los que pasan por el camino; es objeto de afrenta a sus vecinos.
42
Has enaltecido la mano derecha de sus enemigos, y has alegrado a todos sus adversarios.
43
Asimismo, has hecho volver atrás su espada y no lo levantaste en la batalla.

Has hecho cesar el cetro de su esplendor, y has echado su trono por tierra.

Has acortado los días de su juventud, y le has cubierto de afrenta. Selah

¿Hasta cuándo, oh SEÑOR? ¿Te esconderás para siempre? ¿Arderá tu ira como el fuego?

Recuerda, por favor, cuán pasajero soy. ¿Por qué habrás creado en vano a todos los hijos del hombre?
