¿Qué significa esto?
This verse from Paul's letter to the Corinthians says that Christians should not associate with those who practice extreme immorality within their own community, but they don't have to avoid all contact with immoral people outside of the church because that would mean leaving society altogether.
Explicado para niños
Imagine you're in a big playground and some kids are doing really bad things. The verse is saying you shouldn't hang out with those kids if they're part of your group, but don't stay home from school just to avoid them outside!
Contexto histórico
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter around 53-54 AD to the church in Corinth, a city known for its wealth and immorality. He was addressing issues within the community like sexual immorality.
Aplicación para hoy
In modern times, this could apply to situations where you work with someone who behaves unethically outside of work but is not part of your faith group. You can still maintain professional boundaries without completely isolating yourself from society.
