¿Qué significa esto?
In Luke 11:40, Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees and calls them fools for focusing only on external cleanliness while neglecting internal purity. He asks if the one who made their outer being did not also make what's inside.
Explicado para niños
Imagine you have a toy that looks shiny outside but it’s broken inside. Jesus tells us we should care about making both parts good, just like how God cares about our hearts and minds, not just how we look on the outside.
Contexto histórico
Luke wrote this account in his Gospel, likely around 60-85 AD, directed at a mixed audience of Jews and Gentiles. The Pharisees were concerned with ritual purity but Jesus emphasized true spiritual cleanliness.
Aplicación para hoy
Today, we might spend too much time on our appearance or possessions while neglecting to work on being kinder and more honest people inside. Like Jesus said, what matters most is how good your heart is, not just the outside things you show off.
