¿Qué significa esto?
In this verse from Mark, Jesus tells his disciples to have a small boat ready for him because the crowd is so large that they might crush him. It shows how much people wanted to see and hear from Jesus.
Explicado para niños
Imagine you're at a birthday party and everyone wants to play with your new toy. Your mom asks if someone can hold onto it for you, just in case too many friends try to grab it all at once. That's what Jesus did with his boat – he asked the disciples to keep it close so he wouldn't get squished by the excited crowd.
Contexto histórico
The Gospel of Mark was written around 65-70 AD, probably in Rome. It’s thought that Mark wrote this for a community of Gentile Christians who needed encouragement and clarity about Jesus' identity as the Son of God amidst persecution.
Aplicación para hoy
In today's context, we can think of times when we need to set boundaries or have support around us during stressful situations. For example, if you're giving a big presentation at work and feel overwhelmed by all the attention, having a colleague nearby for moral support might be helpful.
