Daavidin rukous. Herra, kallista korvasi ja vastaa minulle, sillä minä olen kurja ja köyhä.

Varjele sieluni, sillä minä olen uskollinen. Sinä olet minun Jumalani. Pelasta palvelijasi, joka luottaa sinuun.
3
Armahda minua, Herra, sillä sinua minä huudan kaiken päivää.
4
Ilahduta palvelijasi sielu, sillä sinun puoleesi, Herra, minä ylennän sieluni.
5
Olethan sinä, Herra, hyvä ja anteeksiantava, ja armosi on suuri kaikille, jotka huutavat sinua avukseen.

Herra, kuule minun rukoukseni, kuuntele tarkoin anomiseni ääntä.
7
Hätäni päivänä minä huudan sinua avukseni, sillä sinä vastaat minulle.

Ei ole sinun vertaistasi jumalien joukossa, Herra, ei mikään ole sinun tekojesi vertaista.
9
Kaikki kansat, jotka olet tehnyt, tulevat ja kumartuvat palvoen sinun edessäsi, Herra, kunnioittavat sinun nimeäsi.

Sillä sinä olet suuri ja teet ihmeitä, sinä yksin olet Jumala.

Opeta minulle tiesi, Herra, että vaeltaisin sinun totuudessasi. Tee sydämeni ehyeksi, että pelkäisin sinun nimeäsi.
12
Herra, minun Jumalani, sinua minä kiitän kaikesta sydämestäni ja kunnioitan sinun nimeäsi ikuisesti,
13
sillä sinun armosi on suuri minua kohtaan, sinä olet pelastanut sieluni tuonelan syvyyksistä.
14
Jumala, röyhkeät ovat nousseet minua vastaan, väkivaltaisten joukko tavoittelee henkeäni, eivät he sinusta piittaa.
15
Mutta sinä, Herra, olet laupias ja armahtava Jumala. Sinä olet pitkämielinen, sinun armosi ja uskollisuutesi on suuri.

Käänny puoleeni ja armahda minua! Anna voimasi palvelijallesi, pelasta palvelijattaresi poika.
17
Tee tunnusteko minun hyväkseni. Nähkööt vihamieheni sen ja hävetkööt, kun sinä, Herra, autat ja lohdutat minua.
