Yahweh, délivre-moi de l’homme méchant, préserve-moi des hommes de violence,

qui méditent de mauvais desseins dans leur cœur, qui excitent sans cesse la guerre contre moi,

qui aiguisent leur langue comme le serpent, et qui ont sous leurs lèvres le venin de l’aspic. — Séla.

Yahweh, garde-moi des mains du méchant, préserve-moi des hommes de violence, qui méditent de me faire trébucher.

Des orgueilleux me dressent un piège et des filets, ils placent des rets le long de mon sentier, ils me tendent des embûches. — Séla.

Seigneur Yahweh, mon puissant sauveur, tu couvres ma tête au jour du combat.

Je sais que Yahweh fait droit au misérable, et justice au pauvre. Oui, les justes célébreront ton nom, et les hommes droits habiteront devant ta face.
