Luke 18:31
Japanese 1988 (Seisho Shinkyoudoyaku 聖書 新共同訳)
この聖句の意味
In this verse from Luke's Gospel, Jesus is speaking to his twelve disciples and tells them that they are going up to Jerusalem where all the prophesies about him will come true. This means that everything foretold by ancient prophets concerning the Messiah would be fulfilled.
子どもにもわかる説明
Imagine you're playing a game of hide-and-seek, but this time you know exactly when and where everyone is hiding because someone told you before the game started. Jesus here knows all about his journey to Jerusalem just like that, as he was told by old prophets what would happen.
歴史的背景
Luke wrote this Gospel around 80-100 AD for a Greek-speaking audience familiar with both Jewish and Gentile cultures. This verse shows how Jesus prepared his closest followers for the upcoming events in Jerusalem, fulfilling ancient prophecies about him.
今日への適用
Just like Jesus knew what was coming and prepared himself and his disciples, it's important to be aware of challenges or changes ahead and prepare accordingly. For example, if you know there’s a big test coming up at school, start studying early rather than waiting till the last minute.
