ㄱ) 스룹바벨 시대와 나 ㄴ) 느헤미야 시대에도 이스라엘 백성은 성가대원과 성전 문지기들의 생활을 부양하기 위하여 매일 일정한 예물을 바쳤다. 백성이 그 예물을 레위 사람들에게 가져다 주면 레위 사람들은 그 중에서 일정한 분량을 떼어 제사장들에게 넘겨 주었다. (ㄱ. BC 537년. ㄴ. BC 433년)
