“Cilvēka dēls, vai vīnakoka stīgas ir pārākas par visu koku zariem, kas aug mežā?

Vai tad to ņem, lai darinātu no tā kaut ko, kaut vai vadzi, uz kā uzkārt visādas lietas?

Redzi, to atdos ugunij, lai rij no abiem galiem, un uguns rīs arī vidu! Vai apsvilis tas būs vairāk noderīgs?

Ja tas nesabojāts neder nekam, vai apsvilis tas derēs kam vairāk kā sadedzināšanai ugunī?

Tādēļ tā saka Kungs Dievs: tāpat kā vīnakoku un koku zarus es atdodu aprīt ugunij, tā es atdodu arī Jeruzālemes iedzīvotājus!

Es vērsīšos pret tiem – no uguns tie izspruks, un atkal uguns tos rīs! Tad jūs zināsiet, ka es esmu Kungs! Es pats būšu pret tiem!

Es padarīšu zemi par izpostījumu viņu lielās neuzticības dēļ!” saka Kungs Dievs.
