Zo waar Ik leef, spreekt Jahweh der heirscharen, Israëls God: Daarom zal Moab als Sodoma worden, Als Gomorra de zonen van Ammon. Een veld met doornen zal het worden, Een zouthoop, een steppe voor eeuwig; Het Overschot van mijn volk maakt het buit, De Rest van mijn natie ontvangt het tot erfdeel!
