Vi er ikke interessert i å sammenligne oss med andre. Noen holder på med slike sammenligninger, og de prøver hele tiden å overgå seg selv. Det er uklokt! Vi vil ikke framheve oss selv og overdrive vår viktighet og vårt arbeid. Vi har fått myndighet av Gud til å gjøre det arbeidet Han har satt oss til. Det førte til at dere fikk evangeliet om Jesus. Selvfølgelig er vi viktige i det arbeidet vi selv har fått i oppgave, men vi kunne ikke tenke oss å ta æren for andres arbeid. Arbeidet vårt utvides ettersom dere vokser i troen. Dere brenner for dem som er rundt dere, og dermed vinner dere nye mennesker for Jesus. Vi kan ikke tenke oss å blande oss inn i noe arbeid som andre har begynt på, for dette er ikke en konkurranse. Det hele handler ikke om oss – men om Herren. Det er Han som skal ha æren for alt det som skjer. Det er Han som skal vurdere og anerkjenne arbeidet vårt, og det er ikke opp til oss. Det er Hans vurdering og anerkjennelse av oss som er viktig!
