Du er jo ikke slik, Du som er hele jordens Dommer, skulle ikke Du dømme rettferdig?» Da sa Herren: «Hvis Jeg finner 50 i Sodoma som lever rett, da skal Jeg spare hele stedet for deres skyld.» Abraham svarte og sa: «At jeg tør å tale til Deg, Herre, jeg som bare er støv og aske: Men om det nå manglet fem på de 50 som lever rett, vil Du da ødelegge hele byen fordi det manglet fem?» Da sa Han: «Hvis Jeg finner 45 der, skal Jeg ikke ødelegge byen.»
