Ezekiel 25:5
Ndebele Bible - 2010
What Does This Mean?
This verse describes God's judgment on the Ammonites, saying that their capital city, Rabbah, will become a place for camels and their people will be like pastures for sheep. God is speaking to show that He is in control and that people will come to know Him.
Explained for Children
Imagine your favorite playground becoming a place where only camels can play, and all the kids who used to play there are gone. That's how God is making the Ammonites' city look. He's showing everyone that He's the boss.
Historical Background
The book of Ezekiel was written by the prophet Ezekiel around 593-571 BCE. He wrote this during the Babylonian exile, and this verse is a prophecy about the fate of the Ammonites, who were enemies of Israel.
Living It Out Today
