Zephaniah 3:8
Ndebele Bible - 2010
What Does This Mean?
The LORD is speaking in this verse from Zephaniah. He tells people to wait for Him because He will gather all nations and kingdoms, pouring out His anger on them with the fire of His jealousy.
Explained for Children
Imagine you have a big party coming up where everyone is invited, but some guests are not being nice. The LORD says He's going to make sure things get sorted out by bringing everyone together at the right time and making it clear who's in charge.
Historical Background
Zephaniah wrote this prophecy around 630 BC during the reign of King Josiah of Judah. It was a time when the nation faced threats from foreign powers, and Zephaniah called for repentance and faithfulness to God.
Living It Out Today
This verse can remind us that even in times of uncertainty or conflict, we should trust in God's timing and justice. For example, if you're dealing with bullies at school, remember that waiting on God doesn't mean doing nothing but trusting Him to handle the situation.
