Então Jó respondeu:

“Que grande ajuda você foi para mim, que estou cansado! Como foi grande o seu auxílio para comigo, que não tenho mais forças!

Deu bons conselhos para mim, que nada sei! Sem dúvida, você tem uma grande sabedoria!

Quem lhe ensinou tudo isso? Que espírito inspirou as suas palavras?

“Os espíritos dos mortos estremecem debaixo das águas, e também todos os que lá vivem.

Para Deus, o lugar dos mortos está descoberto, o lugar de destruição não pode se ocultar.
7
Deus estende os céus sobre o espaço vazio; suspende a terra sobre o nada.
8
Ele coloca as águas nas nuvens e as nuvens não se rompem com o peso.
9
Deus cobre a frente do seu trono, estendendo sobre ele as suas nuvens.

Ele desenhou um círculo em volta do mar, para fazer divisão entre a luz e a escuridão.
11
As colunas do céu tremem quando Deus as ameaça.
12
Ele acalmou o mar com o seu poder, com a sua sabedoria despedaçou Raabe, o monstro dos mares.
13
Com o seu sopro limpou os céus, com a sua mão matou a cobra que fugia.
14
E isso é só uma amostra do que Deus pode fazer; só conhecemos uma pequena parte do que ele faz. Quem é capaz de compreender a grandeza do seu poder?”
