Galatians 3:19
Serbian Cyrillic Version == Same Translators as Latin Version
What Does This Mean?
This verse from Galatians explains that the law was given to show people their sins until Jesus came, who was promised long ago. The angels and Moses helped bring this law.
Explained for Children
Think of a playground with rules written on a board. These rules help kids know what's right and wrong before they learn to be good all by themselves. Just like that, the law showed people their mistakes until Jesus came to teach them better ways.
Historical Background
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter around 48-50 AD to the Galatian churches. He was addressing Christians who were being told that they needed to follow Jewish laws, even though Jesus had fulfilled these laws.
Living It Out Today
Today, people sometimes think they need strict rules to be good or accepted by God. But this verse reminds us that Jesus gives us grace and freedom from the law's demands, allowing us to live in faith and love.
