Matthew 24:7
Turkish (TCL02) NTB (New Turkish Bible) 2009 Version
Bu ne anlama geliyor?
In Matthew 24:7, Jesus is speaking and foretells of future conflicts between nations and kingdoms, as well as natural disasters like famines, pestilences, and earthquakes happening in various places around the world.
Çocuklar için açıklama
Imagine if your favorite playground had a lot of fighting among kids from different classes, and some parts of the playground were having food shortages or getting sick more often. Jesus is saying that something similar will happen but much bigger, with countries and big areas instead of playgrounds and classes.
Tarihsel arka plan
Matthew wrote this gospel around AD 80-90 to a primarily Jewish-Christian audience in Palestine. This part comes from the Olivet Discourse where Jesus answers his disciples' questions about future events leading up to his return, reflecting the cultural anxieties of a time marked by political upheaval and natural disasters.
Bugün için uygulama
In today’s world, we can see examples of this verse when countries go to war over resources or territory, like conflicts in Ukraine or Syria. Natural disasters such as famines and earthquakes also continue to occur and affect many regions around the globe.
