“Ey Baruk, İsrael'in Tanrısı Yahve sana şöyle diyor,

'Sen, "Vay başıma! Çünkü Yahve acılarıma keder kattı! İniltimden yoruldum ve rahat bulamıyorum’ dedin."

“Ona şöyle diyeceksin, Yahve şöyle diyor, ‘İşte, yaptığımı ben yıkacağım, diktiğimi ben sökeceğim; hem de bütün ülkede.

Kendin için büyük şeyler mi arıyorsun? Onları arama; çünkü işte, bütün ünsanların üzerine kötülük getireceğim,’ diyor Yahve, ‘Ama nereye gidersen git, hayatını kurtarıp kaçmanı sağlayacağım.’”
