کیا ہی بھلا ہے خُداوند کا شُکر کرنا اور تیرے نام کی مدح سرائی کرنا اَے حق تعالیٰ!
2
صُبح کو تیری شفقت کا اِظہار کرنا اور رات کو تیری وفاداری کا۔
3
دس تار والے ساز اور بربط پر اور سِتار پر گُونجتی آواز کے ساتھ۔
4
کیونکہ اَے خُداوند! تُو نے مُجھے اپنے کام سے خُوش کِیا۔ مَیں تیری صنعت کاری کے سبب سے شادیانہ بجاؤُں گا۔
5
اَے خُداوند! تیری صنعتیں کَیسی بڑی ہیں! تیرے خیال بُہت عمِیق ہیں۔
6
حَیوان خصلت نہیں جانتا اور احمق اِس کو نہیں سمجھتا ہے۔
7
جب شرِیر گھاس کی طرح اُگتے ہیں اور سب بدکردار پُھولتے پَھلتے ہیں تو یہ اِسی لِئے ہے کہ وہ ہمیشہ کے لِئے فنا ہوں۔
8
لیکن تُو اَے خُداوند! ابدُالآباد بُلند ہے۔
9
کیونکہ دیکھ! اَے خُداوند! تیرے دُشمن۔ دیکھ! تیرے دُشمن ہلاک ہو جائیں گے۔ سب بدکردار پراگندہ کر دِئے جائیں گے۔
10
لیکن تُو نے میرے سِینگ کو جنگلی سانڈ کے سِینگ کی مانِند بُلند کِیا ہے۔ مُجھ پر تازہ تیل ملا گیا ہے۔
11
میری آنکھ نے میرے دُشمنوں کو دیکھ لِیا۔ میرے کانوں نے میرے مُخالِف بدکاروں کا حال سُن لِیا ہے۔
12
صادِق کھجُور کے درخت کی مانِند سرسبز ہو گا۔ وہ لُبنان کے دیودار کی طرح بڑھے گا۔
13
جو خُداوند کے گھر میں لگائے گئے ہیں وہ ہمارے خُدا کی بارگاہوں میں سرسبز ہوں گے۔
14
وہ بُڑھاپے میں بھی برومند ہوں گے۔ وہ تر و تازہ اور سرسبز رہیں گے
15
تاکہ واضِح کریں کہ خُداوند راست ہے۔ وُہی میری چٹان ہے اور اُس میں ناراستی نہیں۔
