那时， 巴拉但 的儿子 巴比伦 王 米罗达·巴拉但 听说 希西迦 患病及痊愈的事，便派人送来书信和礼物。

希西迦 欣然接见使者，让他们观看国库里的金银、香料、珍贵膏油、所有兵器和一切宝物。 希西迦 把宫中及国内的一切悉数给他们看。
3
以赛亚 先知来见 希西迦 王，问他：“这些人说了些什么？他们从哪里来？” 希西迦 答道：“他们来自遥远的 巴比伦 。”
4
以赛亚 问：“他们在你宫里看到了什么？” 希西迦 答道：“他们看到了我宫中的一切。我把国库里的一切悉数给他们看了。”

以赛亚 对 希西迦 说：“你要听万军之耶和华的话，

‘看啊，时候快到了，你宫中的一切和你祖先积攒到现在的一切必被掳到 巴比伦 ，一件不留。这是耶和华说的。
7
你自己亲生的子孙中必有人被掳去，在 巴比伦 王的宫中做太监。’”
8
希西迦 对 以赛亚 说：“耶和华借你说的话很好。”因为他想：“我有生之年将平安稳妥。”
