第六年六月五日，我正在家中與 猶大 的眾長老同坐，主耶和華的手按在我身上。
2
我觀看，只見有一位形狀像人，祂的腰部以下像火，腰部以上像閃亮的金屬。
3
祂好像伸出一隻手，抓住我的頭髮。在異象中，耶和華的靈把我舉到天地之間，將我帶到 耶路撒冷 聖殿內院的北門，那裡供奉著惹耶和華憤恨的神像。
4
我忽然看見那裡有 以色列 上帝的榮耀，跟我在平原所見的一樣。
5
祂對我說：「人子啊，你舉目北望。」於是，我舉目朝北一望，見在祭壇門北面的入口處有惹耶和華憤恨的神像。
6
祂又對我說：「人子啊，你看見 以色列 人的所作所為了嗎？他們在這裡行那些極其可憎的事，以致我遠離我的聖所。你會看到更可憎的事。」
7
祂帶我到院子的門口，我看見牆上有一個洞。
8
祂對我說：「人子啊，你挖這牆。」我挖開牆後，看見一道門。
9
祂對我說：「你進去看看他們在這裡做的邪惡可憎的事吧。」
10
我進去後，看見四周的牆上畫滿了各種爬蟲、可憎的獸類和 以色列 人拜的所有偶像。
11
偶像前面站著 以色列 的七十個長老， 沙番 的兒子 雅撒尼亞 也在當中，他們每人手中都拿著香爐，煙霧繚繞。
12
祂又對我說：「人子啊，你看見 以色列 的長老在自己藏偶像的房間裡暗中所做的了嗎？他們說，『耶和華看不見我們，祂已經拋棄了這片土地。』」
13
祂繼續說：「你會看到他們做更可憎的事。」
14
祂帶我來到耶和華殿的北門，看見一些婦女坐在那裡為 搭模斯 神像哭泣。
15
祂對我說：「人子啊，你看見了嗎？你會看到更可憎的事。」
16
祂帶我來到耶和華殿的內院，在殿門口，走廊和祭壇中間約有二十五個人背向耶和華的殿，面向東方朝拜太陽。
17
祂又對我說：「人子啊，你看見了嗎？ 猶大 人的這些可憎行徑還算小事嗎？他們到處行殘暴之事，再三惹我發怒。看啊，他們手拿樹枝舉向鼻前。
18
因此，我必憤怒地對待他們，我必不顧惜他們，也不憐憫他們，即使他們大聲向我呼求，我也不聽。」
