接着，我看见另一位强有力的天使从天上降下来，披着云彩；又有一道彩虹 在他头上。他的脸像太阳，脚像火柱，

手里拿着一个打开的小书卷。他右脚踩在海上，左脚踩在地上，
3
大声呼喊，好像狮子吼叫。他一呼喊，那七个雷就发出自己的声音。
4
当那七个雷发出了自己的声音 ，我正要写下来，却听见有声音从天上传来，说：“你要封住七个雷所说的话，不可写下来。”

接着，我所看见的那位站在海上和地上的天使，向天举起他的右手 ，
6
指着活到永永远远的那一位，就是创造了天和天上之物、地和地上之物、海和海中之物的那一位，起誓说：“不再有时间了！
7
在第七位天使要吹响号角的那些日子里，神的奥秘就要成就，就像神向他的奴仆先知们所宣告的那样。”
8
接着，我所听见的那从天上来的声音又对我讲话，说：“你去，从那站在海上和地上的天使手中，把那打开的书卷 拿过来。”
9
我就走到那位天使面前，请他把小书卷给我。他就对我说：“拿去，把它吃掉！它会使你的肚子感到苦涩，但是在你口中会像蜜一样甘甜。”
10
我从天使的手中拿了小书卷，把它吃了；果然在我口中像蜜一样甘甜，可是吃了以后，我的肚子就感到苦涩。
11
然后他们 对我说：“你必须指着许多民族、国家、语言群体和君王再说预言。”
