「 利未 家的祭司和 利未 全支派在 以色列 中沒有分得產業；他們可以吃耶和華的火祭，那是他的產業。
2
他在弟兄中沒有產業；耶和華是他的產業，正如耶和華所應許他的。
3
祭司從百姓當得的權益是這樣：凡獻牛或羊為祭物的，要把前腿、兩腮和胃給祭司。
4
初收的五穀、新酒和新的油，以及初剪的羊毛，也要給他。
5
因為耶和華－你的上帝從你眾支派中揀選他，使他和他子孫永遠奉耶和華的名侍立，事奉。
6
「 利未 人若離開他在 以色列 中所居住的任何一座城，一心願意到耶和華所選擇的地方，
7
就要在那裏奉耶和華－他上帝的名事奉，正如他的眾弟兄 利未 人在耶和華面前侍立一樣。
8
除了賣祖產所得的以外，他們 要吃同等分量的祭物。」
9
「你到了耶和華－你上帝所賜你之地，不可學那些國家行可憎惡的事。
10
你中間不可有人使兒女經火，也不可有占卜的、觀星象的、行法術的 、行邪術的、
11
施符咒的、招魂的、行巫術的和求問死人的。
12
凡做這些事的都是耶和華所憎惡的；因這可憎惡的事，耶和華－你的上帝把他們從你面前趕出去。
13
你要向耶和華－你的上帝作完全人。
14
你所要趕出的那些國家都聽從觀星象的和占卜的，但是耶和華－你的上帝從來不准你這樣做。」
15
「耶和華－你的上帝要從你弟兄中給你興起一位先知像我，你們要聽他。
16
這正如你在 何烈山 大會的那日向耶和華－你的上帝所求的一切，說：『求你不要再叫我聽見耶和華－我上帝的聲音，也不要再叫我看見這大火，免得我死亡。』
17
耶和華對我說：『他們說得對。
18
我必在他們弟兄中給他們興起一位先知像你。我要將當說的話放在他口裏；他要將我一切所吩咐的都告訴他們。
19
誰不聽從他奉我名所說的話，我必親自向他追究。
20
若有先知擅自奉我的名說了我未曾吩咐他說的話，或是奉別神的名說話，那先知就必處死。』
21
你心裏若說：『我們怎能知道那話是耶和華未曾吩咐的呢？』
22
先知奉耶和華的名說話，所說的若沒有實現，或不應驗，這話就是耶和華未曾吩咐的，而是那先知擅自說的，你不必怕他。」
