耶和華的話臨到我，說：

「人子啊，葡萄樹比一切其他的樹，就是樹林裏眾樹木的樹枝，有甚麼長處呢？
3
可以從其中取木料來做工嗎？人可以拿來做釘子，掛東西在上面嗎？
4
看哪，它已經拋在火中當柴燒，火既燒了兩頭，中間也燒焦了，它還有甚麼用處呢？
5
看哪，它完整的時候尚且不能拿來做工，何況被火燒焦了，還能拿來做工嗎？
6
所以，主耶和華如此說：我怎樣使林中樹裏的葡萄樹在火中當柴燒，我也必照樣對待 耶路撒冷 的居民。
7
我必向他們變臉；他們雖從火中逃出來，火仍要燒滅他們。我向他們變臉的時候，你們就知道我是耶和華。
8
我必使這地荒涼，因為他們做了背叛的事。這是主耶和華說的。」
