耶和華的話臨到我說：

“人子啊！葡萄樹的木料怎能勝過樹林中的枝子呢？
3
人可以從葡萄樹上取木料製造物件嗎？可以從葡萄樹上取木料做釘子掛器皿嗎？
4
看哪！已經拋在火裡當作燃料，火既燒毀了兩端，連中間也燒焦了，它還可以用來製造物件嗎？
5
看哪！它完整的時候，尚且不能用來製造物件，何況它被火燒毀和燒焦了，它還能用來做甚麼呢？”
6
因此，主耶和華這樣說：“我怎樣把樹林中的葡萄樹拋在火裡當作燃料，也必照樣對待耶路撒冷的居民。
7
我必變臉攻擊他們；他們雖然從火裡逃出來，火仍要吞滅他們；我變臉攻擊他們的時候，你們就知道我是耶和華。
8
我必使這地荒涼，因為他們行了不忠的事。這是主耶和華的宣告。”
