¡Canta, oh estéril, tú que no dabas a luz! ¡Rompe en alabanzas y da voces de júbilo, Tú, que nunca estuviste de parto! Porque más son los hijos de la desolada, Que los hijos de la casada, diceYHVH.

¡Ensancha el lugar de tu tienda, Extiéndanse las cortinas de tu habitación! ¡No te detengas, alarga tus cuerdas y fortifica tus estacas!
3
Porque te extenderás hacia la derecha y hacia la izquierda, Y tu descendencia desposeerá lasnaciones, Y volverán a poblar ciudades desoladas.
4
¡No temas, porque no serás avergonzada! ¡No te sonrojes, porque no serásinsultada! Porque olvidarás la afrenta de tu juventud, Y del oprobio de tu viudez no teacordarás.
5
Porque marido tuyo es tu Hacedor; YHVH Sebaot es su nombre, Y tu Redentor es el Santo de Israel, Que será llamado Dios de toda latierra.
6
Como a mujer abandonada y abatida te vuelve a llamar YHVH, Y como a esposa de juventud que Ha sido repudiada, dice tu Dios.
7
Por un breve momento te abandoné, Pero te volveré a recoger con grandes misericordias.
8
En un arrebato de ira, por un breve momento, escondí mi rostro de ti, Pero con gran compasión tendrémisericordia de ti eternamente, dice YHVH, tu Redentor.
9
Porque esto me será como las aguas de Noé: Juré que las aguas de Noé nunca más pasarían sobre la tierra. Asimismo he jurado que no me enojaré contra ti ni te reprocharé.
10
Aunque los montes se muevan y tiemblen los collados, Mi misericordia no se alejará de ti, Ni será anulado mi pacto de paz, Dice YHVH, que tiene compasión de ti.
11
¡Pobrecita, zarandeada por la tormenta y sin consuelo! He aquí, Yo asentaré tus piedras sobre turquesas, Y echaré tus cimientos sobre zafiros.
12
Haré tus capiteles de rubíes, Tus puertas de carbunclos, Y toda tu cerca de piedras preciosas.
13
Y todos tus hijos serán enseñados por YHVH, Y la paz de tus hijos se multiplicará.
14
Serás establecida en la justicia; Estarás alejada de la opresión, Porque no tendrás de qué temer; Y del terror, porque no se acercaráa ti.
15
Si alguno conspira contra ti, lo hará sin mí; El que conspire contra ti, caerádelante de ti.
16
Yo he creado al herrero, que avivalas ascuas, Y forja armas para su obra; Pero también he creado al destructor para que los destruya.
17
Ningún arma forjada contra ti prosperará, Y condenarás a toda lengua que selevante en juicio contra ti. Esta es la herencia de los siervosde YHVH, Y su victoria de parte mía, dice YHVH.
