Matkalaulu. Herra, muista Daavidia, muista, mitä hän sai kärsiä --

"Kotitelttaani en astu, en mene makuusijalleni,

en suo silmilleni unta enkä lepoa silmäluomilleni,

ennen kuin löydän Herralle sijan, asuinpaikan Jaakobin Väkevälle."

Herra on vannonut Daavidille valan, antanut lupauksen, jota hän ei peruuta: "Oman jälkeläisesi minä asetan valtaistuimellesi.

Herra on valinnut Siionin, sen hän on halunnut asunnokseen.

Siion saa minun siunaukseni: siltä ei ravintoa puutu, sen köyhät minä ruokin kylläisiksi.
