(કોરાના પુત્રોનું ગીત: સંગીત સંચાલક માટે સૂચના: રાગ: માહલાથ - લઆનોથ (અર્થાત્ વાંસળીઓ માટે) હે પ્રભુ, મારા ઈશ્વર, મારા ઉદ્ધારર્ક્તા, રાતદિન હું તમને સહાય માટે પોકારું છું.

મારી પ્રાર્થના તમારી હજૂરમાં પહોંચો; મારા વિલાપ પ્રત્યે તમે કાન ધરો.

મારો જીવ અતિ સંકટમાં આવી પડયો છે, અને મારો પ્રાણ મૃત્યુલોક શેઓલ તરફ ખેંચાય છે.

કબરમાં જનારાઓમાં મારી ગણતરી થાય છે; હું લાચાર માણસના જેવો બન્યો છું.

હું તો મૃતદેહો વચ્ચે તજી દેવાયેલા જેવો છું; અને જેમનું તમે ફરી સ્મરણ કરવાના નથી અને જેઓ તમારા સંરક્ષક હાથથી વંચિત થયા છે, તેવા કપાઈને કબરમાં નંખાયેલા લોકો જેવો હું બન્યો છું.

તમે મને અતિ ઊંડા ગર્તમાં ધકેલી દીધો છે, અને ઘોર અંધારિયા અને ઊંડા ખાડામાં હડસેલી દીધો છે.

મારા પર તમારો કોપ બહુ ભારે છે; અને તેનાં ઊછળતાં મોજાં મને કચડી નાખે છે. (સેલાહ)

તમે મને એવો રોગિષ્ટ બનાવ્યો છે કે મારા મિત્રો પણ મારાથી દૂર રહે છે; તમે મને તેઓ માટે ખૂબ ઘૃણાપાત્ર બનાવ્યો છે. હું અલાયદો રખાયો છું અને અહીંથી બહાર નીકળી શક્તો નથી.

મારી આંખો વેદનાને લીધે નિસ્તેજ થતી જાય છે; હે પ્રભુ, હું તમને દરરોજ પોકારું છું, અને તમારી આગળ હાથ જોડીને પ્રાર્થના કરું છું.

શું તમે મૃતકો માટે ચમત્કારો કરશો? શું મરેલાં ઊઠીને તમારી આભારસ્તુતિ કરશે? (સેલાહ)

શું કબરમાં તમારા પ્રેમનું અને વિનાશલોક અબાદ્દોનમાં તમારા વિશ્વાસુપણાનું વર્ણન કરાશે?

શું તમારાં અજાયબ કાર્યો અંધકારના પ્રદેશમાં અને તમારી ઉદ્ધારકશક્તિ વિસ્મૃતિના પ્રદેશમાં પ્રગટ કરાશે?

હે પ્રભુ, હું તમને અરજ કરું છું; રોજ સવારે મારી પ્રાર્થના તમારી હજૂરમાં પહોંચો.

હે પ્રભુ તમે મને કેમ તજી દો છો? તમે તમારું મુખ મારાથી કેમ ફેરવી લો છો?
15
હું મારી જુવાનીના સમયથી પીડિત અને મરણતોલ છું. તમારો ત્રાસ વેઠીને હું નિર્ગત થઈ ગયો છું.

તમારો ઉગ્ર ક્રોધ મારા ઉપર ફરી વળ્યો છે અને તમારા ભયાનક હુમલાઓ મારો સદંતર નાશ કરે છે.

તેઓ પૂરની જેમ આખો વખત મને ઘેરી વળે છે. તેઓ એકત્ર થઈને મને આંતરે છે.

મારા પ્રિયજનો અને મિત્રોને તમે મારાથી દૂર કર્યા છે અને હવે મારો એકમાત્ર સાથી છે - અંધકાર!
