VIEŠPATIE, atsimink Dovydą ir visus jo vargus;
2
kaip jis prisiekė VIEŠPAČIUI ir pasižadėjo galingajam Jokūbo Dievui:
3
„Aš tikrai neisiu į savo namų padangtę ir nelipsiu į savo lovą;
4
neduosiu miego savo akims ar snaudulio savo akių vokams,
5
kol nesurasiu vietos VIEŠPAČIUI, buveinės galingajam Jokūbo Dievui “.
6
Štai mes girdėjome apie ją Efratoje; mes ją radome miško laukuose.
7
Mes eisime į jo padangtes; mes garbinsime prie jo pakojo.
8
Pakilk, o VIEŠPATIE, į savo poilsį; tu ir tavo stiprybės skrynia.
9
Tegul tavo kunigai apsivelka teisumu; ir tavo šventieji tešaukia iš džiaugsmo.
10
Dėl savo tarno Dovydo nenugręžk veido tavo pateptojo.
11
VIEŠPATS prisiekė Dovydui tiesoje; nuo jos jis nenusisuks: „Iš tavo kūno vaisiaus aš pasodinsiu į tavo sostą.
12
Jei tavo vaikai laikysis mano sandoros ir mano liudijimo, kurių juos mokysiu, tai ir jų vaikai per amžius sėdės tavo soste“.
13
Nes VIEŠPATS išsirinko Sioną; jis jo troško savo buveinei.
14
„Tai yra mano poilsis per amžius, čia aš gyvensiu, nes jo troškau.
15
Jo maistą gausiai palaiminsiu; jo vargšus pasotinsiu duona.
16
Taip pat jo kunigus apvilksiu išgelbėjimu; o jo šventieji garsiai šauks iš džiaugsmo.
17
Ten duosiu apsipumpuruoti Dovydo ragui; aš paruošiau savo pateptajam žibintą.
18
Jo priešus apvilksiu gėda; bet ant jo spindės jo karūna“.
