Sju kvinnor skall den dagen gripa tag i samme man och ropa: »Vi skaffar själva vår mat och håller oss själva med kläder, om vi bara får tillhöra dig! Befria oss från vår vanära!«

Den dagen skall det som Herren låter växa vara en prydnad och en heder för dem i Israel som räddats, och landets gröda skall vara deras stolthet och ära.

Och den som är kvar i Sion, den som sparats i Jerusalem, skall kallas helig, var och en i Jerusalem som är skriven bland dem som skall leva.

Men först skall Herren med domens ande och reningens ande tvätta bort Sions döttrars smuts och skölja Jerusalem rent efter dess blodsdåd.

Över hela Sions berg och festförsamlingen där skall Herren skapa ett moln om dagen och en rök och ett flammande eldsken om natten. Ja, över allt skall hans härlighet vara en skärm,

ett tak som ger skugga under dagens hetta, tillflykt och skydd mot regn och skyfall.
