Gör slut på de gudlösas ondska, låt den rättfärdige stå fast! Den som prövar sinne och känslor är en rättfärdig Gud.

Gud är min sköld, han räddar de rättsinniga.

Gud dömer i rättfärdighet, Gud ger uttryck för sin vrede varje dag.

Om någon inte vill vända om, slipar han sitt svärd, spänner sin båge,

gör sitt dödande vapen redo och tar fram sina brinnande pilar.
15
Se, denne är havande med orätt, han avlar ofärd och föder lögn.

Han gräver en grop och gör den djup men faller själv i den grop han grävt.
