İnayetlim ve hisarım, Yüksek kulem ve beni azat eden; Kalkanım ve kendisine sığındığım; Kavmımı bana itaat ettiren odur.

Ya RAB, insan nedir ki, onu tanıyasın? İnsan oğlu nedir ki, onu düşünesin?

İnsan bir soluğa benzer; Günleri, geçen gölge gibidir.

Ya RAB, göklerini iğ ve in; Dağlara dokun da tütsünler.

Şimşek çaktır, ve onları dağıt; Oklarını gönder de onları bozgun et.

Yukarıdan elini uzat, beni kurtar; Ve beni büyük sulardan, Yabancı oğullarının elinden azat et.

Onların ağzı hile söyler, Onların sağ eli yalanın sağ elidir.

Ey Allah, sana yeni bir ilâhi okuyayım; On telli santur ile sana terennüm edeyim.

Kırallara kurtuluş veren, Kulu Davudu kötülük kılıcından kurtaran sensin.

Beni kurtar, ve yabancı oğulları elinden beni azat et; Onların ağzı hile söyler, Onların sağ eli yalanın sağ elidir.

O zaman ki, oğullarımız gençliklerinde yetişmiş fidanlar gibidir, Kızlarımız da sarayın oymalı köşe taşları gibidir,

Her türlü erzak veren ambarlarımız doludur, Tarlalarımızda koyunlarımız binlerce ve on binlerce yavrularlar;
14
Sığırlarımız iyi yüklü olur; Saldırış ve çıkış, Ve sokaklarımızda çığlık olmaz;
15
Bu halde olan kavma ne mutlu! Allahı RAB olan kavma ne mutlu!
