ESİM Allahadır, ve feryat ederim; Sesim Allahadır, ve bana kulak verir.

Sıkıntım gününde Rabbi aradım; Elimi geceleyin açtım ve gevşemedi; Canım teselli edilmek istemedi.
3
Allahı anarım ve inlerim; Şikâyet eylerim ve ruhum bayılır.
4
Göz kapaklarımı tutmaktasın; İçim sıkılıyor da söyliyemiyorum.
5
Eski günleri, Geçmiş devirlerin yıllarını düşündüm.
6
Gece içinde ilâhimi anarım; Yüreğimle konuşurum; Ruhum da inceden inceye soruşturur:

Acaba Rab ebediyen bırakacak mı? Ve bir daha razı olmıyacak mı?
8
Acaba inayeti ebediyen sona mı erdi? Sözü nesilden nesle boşa mı çıktı?
9
Acaba Allah acımağı unuttu mu? Rahmetlerini öfke ile kapadı mı? [
10
Benim derdim budur, dedim; Fakat Yüce Olanın sağ elinin yıllarını anarım.
11
RABBİN işlerini anıyorum; Çünkü eski vakitten olan hârikalarını anarım.
12
Ve senin bütün işlerini derin düşünürüm, Ve senin yaptıkların hakkında düşünceye dalarım.
13
Ey Allah, senin yolun kudsiyettedir; Allah gibi büyük ilâh kimdir?
14
Hârikalar eden Allah sensin; Kavmlar arasında kudretini bildirdin.
15
Bazun ile kavmını, Yakub ve Yusuf oğullarını, kurtardın.
16
Sular seni gördü, ey Allah; Sular seni görüp korktular; Enginler de titredi.
17
Bulutlar su boşalttılar; Asüman ses verdi; Okların da uçuştular.
18
Gürleyişinin sesi kasırgada idi; Şimşekler dünyayı aydınlattı; Yer titredi ve sarsıldı.
19
Senin yolun denizde, Ve yolların büyük sularda idi, Ve izlerin belli değildi.
20
Musa ve Harunun elile, Kavmını sürü gibi güttün.
