Jab Hizqiyáh bádsháh ne yih suná, to apne kapṛe pháṛe, aur ṭáṭ oṛhkar Ḳhudáwand ke ghar meṉ gayá.

Aur us ne ghar ke díwán Iliyáqím aur Shabnáh munshí aur káhinoṉ ke buzurgoṉ ko ṭáṭ uṛhákar Ámús ke beṭe Yasa‘iyáh nabí ke pás bhejá.

Aur unhoṉ ne us se kahá, ki Hizqiyáh yúṉ kahtá hai, ki Aj ká din dukh aur malámat aur tauhín ká din hai; kyúṉki bachche paidá hone par haiṉ, aur wiládat kí táqat nahíṉ.

Sháyad Ḳhudáwand terá Ḳhudá Rab Sháqí kí báteṉ sunegá, jise us ke áqá sháh i Asúr ne bhejá hai, ki zinda Ḳhudá kí tauhín kare: aur jo báteṉ Ḳhudáwand tere Ḳhudá ne suníṉ, un par wuh malámat karegá: pas tú us baqiye ke liye jo maujúd hai du‘á kar.

Pas Hizqiyáh bádsháh ke mulázim Yasa‘iyáh ke pás áe.

Aur Yasa‘iyáh ne un se kahá, Tum apne áqá se yúṉ kahná, ki Ḳhudáwand yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Tú un bátoṉ se jo tú ne suní haiṉ, jin se sháh i Asúr ke mulázimoṉ ne merí takfír kí hai, hirásán na ho.

Dekh, maiṉ us meṉ ek rúh ḍál dúṉgá, aur wuh ek afwáh sunkar apne mulk ko lauṭ jáegá, aur maiṉ use usí ke mulk meṉ talwár se marwá ḍálúṉgá.
8
So Rab Sháqí lauṭ gayá, aur us ne sháh i Asúr ko Libnáh se laṛte páyá; kyúṉki us ne suná thá, ki wuh Lakís se chálá gayá hai.
9
Aur us ne Kúsh ke bádsháh Tirháqah kí bábat suná, ki wuh tujh se laṛne ko niklá hai; aur jab us ne yih suná, to Hizqiyáh ke pás elchí bheje, aur kahá,

Shah i Yahúdáh Hizqiyáh se yúṉ kahná, ki Terá Ḳhudá, jis par terá bharosá hai, tujhe yih kahkar fareb na de, ki Yarúshalem sháh i Asúr ke qabze meṉ na kiyá jáegá.
11
Dekh, tú ne suná hai, ki Asúr ke bádsháhoṉ ne tamám mamálik ko bi’lkull g̣árat karke un ká kyá hál banáyá hai: so kyá tú bachá rahegá?
12
Kyá un qaumoṉ ke deotáoṉ ne un ko ya‘ní Jauzán aur Harrán aur Rasaf aur baní ‘Adan ko jo Tillasár meṉ the, jin ko hamáre bápdádá ne halák kiyá, chhuṛáyá.
13
Hamát ká bádsháh, aur Arfád ká bádsháh, aur shahr Sifrwáím aur Hena‘ aur ‘Iwáh ká bádsháh kaháṉ haiṉ?
14
Hizqiyáh ne elchíoṉ ke háth se náma liyá, aur use paṛhá, aur Hizqiyáh ne Ḳhudáwand ke ghar jákar use Ḳhudáwand ke huzúr phailá diyá.

Aur Hizqiyáh ne Ḳhudáwand se yúṉ du‘á kí,
16
Ai Rabb u’l afwáj, Isráíl ke Ḳhudá, karúbíoṉ ke úpar baiṭhnewále, tú hí akelá zamín kí sab saltanatoṉ ká Ḳhudá hai: tú hí ne ásmán aur zamín ko paidá kiyá.
17
Ai Ḳhudáwand, kán lagá aur sun; ai Ḳhudáwand, apní áṉkheṉ khol aur dekh: aur Sanherib kí un sab bátoṉ ko jo us ne zinda Ḳhudá kí tauhín karne ke liye kahlá bhejí haiṉ, sun le.

Ai Ḳhudáwand, darhaqíqat Asúr ke bádsháhoṉ ne sab qaumoṉ ko un ke mulkoṉ samet tabáh kiyá,
19
aur un ke deotáoṉ ko ág meṉ ḍálá, kyúṉki wuh ḳhudá na the, balki ádmíoṉ kí dastkárí the, laḳrí aur patthar; is liye unhoṉ ne un ko nábúd kiyá hai.
20
So ab, ai Ḳhudáwand, hamáre Ḳhudá, tú ham ko us ke háth se bachá le; táki zamín kí sab saltanateṉ ján leṉ, ki tú hí akelá Ḳhudáwand hai.

Tab Yasa‘iyáh bin Ámús ne Hizqiyáh ko kahlá bhejá, ki Ḳhudáwand Isráíl ká Ḳhudá yúṉ farmátá hai, Chúṉki tú ne sháh i Asúr Sanherib ke ḳhiláf mujh se du‘á kí hai,

is liye Ḳhudáwand ne us ke haqq meṉ yúṉ farmáyá hai, ki Kuṉwárí duḳhtar i Siyyún ne terí tahqír kí, aur terá mazhaka uṛáyá hai, Yarúshalem kí beṭí ne tujh par sir hiláyá hai.

Tú ne kis kí tauhín o takfír kí hai? tú ne kis ke ḳhiláf apní áwáz baland kí, aur apní áṉkheṉ úpar uṭháíṉ? Isráíl ke Quddús ke ḳhiláf.
24
Tú ne apne ḳhádimoṉ ke zarí‘e se Ḳhudáwand kí tauhín kí, aur kahá, ki Maiṉ apne bahut se rathoṉ ko sáth lekar paháṛoṉ kí choṭiyoṉ par, balki Lubnán ke wastí hissoṉ tak chaṛh áyá húṉ; aur maiṉ us ke úṉche úṉche deodároṉ, aur achchhe se achchhe sanaubar ke daraḳhtoṉ ko káṭ ḍálúṉgá; aur maiṉ us kí choṭí par ke zarḳhez jangal meṉ já ghusúṉgá.

Maiṉ ne khod khodkar pání piyá hai, aur maiṉ apne páṉwoṉ ke talwe se Misr kí sab nadiyáṉ sukhá ḍálúṉgá.
26
Kyá tú ne nahíṉ suná, ki mujhe yih kiye húe muddat húí; aur maiṉ ne qadím aiyám se ṭhahrá diyá thá? ab maiṉ ne usí ko púrá kiyá hai, ki tú fasíldár shahroṉ ko ujáṛ khanḍar baná dene ke liye barpá ho.

Isí sabab se un ke báshinde kamzor húe, aur ghabrá gaye, aur sharminda húe: wuh maidán kí ghás aur paud, chhatoṉ par kí ghás, aur khet ke anáj kí mánind ho gaye, jo abhí baṛhá na ho.

Lekin maiṉ terí nishast aur ámad o raft aur terá mujh par jhunjhláná jántá húṉ.
29
Tere mujh par jhunjhláne ke sabab se, aur is liye ki terá ghamanḍ mere kánoṉ tak pahuṉchá hai, maiṉ apní nakel terí nák meṉ, aur apní lagám tere muṉh meṉ ḍálúṉgá, aur tú jis ráh se áyá hai, maiṉ tujhe usí ráh se wápas lauṭá dúṉgá.

Aur tere liye yih nishán hogá, ki tum is sál wuh chízeṉ jo azḳhud ugtí haiṉ, aur dúsre sál wuh chízeṉ jo un se paidá hoṉ, kháoge; aur tísre sál tum boná aur káṭná aur tákistán lagákar un ká phal kháná.

Aur wuh baqiya, jo Yahúdáh ke gharáne se bach rahá hai; phir níche kí taraf jaṛ pakṛegá, aur úpar kí taraf phal láegá.
32
Kyúṉki ek baqiya Yarúshalem meṉ se aur wuh jo bach rahe haiṉ koh i Siyyún se nikleṉge: Rabb u’l afwáj kí g̣aiyúrí yih kar dikháegí.
33
So Ḳhudáwand sháh i Asúr ke haqq meṉ yúṉ farmátá hai, ki Wuh is shahr meṉ áne, yá yaháṉ tír chaláne na páegá: wuh na to sipar lekar us ke samne áne, aur na us ke muqábil damdama báṉdhne páegá.

Balki Ḳhudáwand farmátá hai, ki Jis ráh se wuh áyá, usí ráh se lauṭ jáegá, aur is shahr meṉ áne na páegá.

Kyúṉki maiṉ apní ḳhátir aur apne bande Dáúd kí ḳhátir is shahr kí himáyat karke use bacháúṉgá.

Pas Ḳhudáwand ke firishte ne Asúríoṉ kí lashkargáh meṉ jákar ek lákh pachásí hazár ádmí ján se már ḍále: aur subh ko jab log sawere uṭhe, to dekhá, ki wuh sab mare paṛe haiṉ.

Tab sháh i Asúr Sanherib kúch karke waháṉ se chalá gayá, aur lauṭkar Nínawah meṉ rahne lagá.
38
Aur jab wuh apne deotá Nisrúk ke mandir meṉ pújá kar rahá thá, to Adrammalik aur Sharázar us ke beṭon ne use talwár se qatl kiyá: aur Arárát kí sarzamín ko bhág gaye. Aur us ká beṭá Asar Haddún us kí jagah bádsháh húá.
