昔 亞喇伯 人軍、攻 猶大 營、 約蘭 諸長子為亂軍所殺、 耶路撒冷 民奉其季子 亞哈謝 繼位。

暗利 女孫 亞大利 所出也、年四十有二即位。改列王紀畧、即位之時、年二十有二、都 耶路撒冷 、惟一年、

從母言、行不義、效 亞哈 家尤、
4
父沒輕信母族、行惡於 耶和華 前、自取其戾。

偕 以色列 王 亞哈 子 約藍 、往 基列 之 喇末 、與 亞蘭 王 哈泄 戰、 約藍 為 亞蘭 人所敗、被傷遘疾、歸 耶斯烈 求醫、時 猶大 王 約蘭 子 亞薩哩亞 、 至彼問疾。

亞哈謝 之見 約藍 而遇害、乃上帝所命、相見時、則偕 約藍 、往迓 寧示 子 耶戶 、昔 耶和華 所沐以膏、使滅 亞哈 全家者、

其時 耶戶 罰 亞哈 家、遇 猶大 諸伯、與 亞哈謝 之猶子僕從、而殺之。
9
亞哈謝 匿於 撒馬利亞 、人索而獲之、解至 耶戶 所、而殺焉、念昔 約沙法 一心崇 耶和華 、 亞哈謝 實為其子、故葬之。 亞哈謝 子弱不得立。
10
其母 亞大利 見子已沒、收 猶大 宗室、殺之殆盡。
11
約蘭 王女 約示巴 、下嫁於祭司 耶何耶大 、 亞哈謝 之妹也、取 亞哈謝 子 約轄 、與其乳媼、藏於寢室、以避 亞大利 、恐與眾王子同罹患難。
12
匿 約轄 於上帝殿、歷六年、 亞大利 統轄斯土。
