Až přijde ten den, říká dále Izajáš, zůstane naživu tak málo mužů, že o každého z nich se bude s křikem přetahovat sedm žen: Budeme se samy živit i šatit, jen si nás prosím vezmi za manželky, jinak zůstaneme s hanbou na ocet.

Přichází den, kdy vyraší nádherný a slavný Hospodinův výhonek a všem Izraelcům, kteří zůstanou naživu, země opět ponese bohaté ovoce.

Všem obyvatelům Jeruzaléma, kteří jsou zapsáni v knize, Bůh udělí svatost.

Zbaví je špíny nepravosti a duchem soudu a ohně očistí Jeruzalém od prolité krve.

Potom Hospodin obklopí celou horu Sijón a všechny, které na ni shromáždil, ve dne oblakem kouře a v noci klenbou z plamenů. Jeho sláva všechno zahalí jako baldachýn. Bude zemi chránit před denním horkem a poskytne útočiště před bouří a deštěm.
