Oh Dios, no te quedes callado, no enmudezcas ni estés impasible.
3
Mira, tus enemigos se amotinan, se ensoberbecen quienes te odian.
4
Traman intrigas contra tu pueblo, conspiran contra tus protegidos.
5
Dicen: “¡Destruyámoslos como nación! ¡Que no vuelva a recordarse el nombre de Israel!”.
6
Se confabulan, se ponen de acuerdo y sellan un pacto contra ti:
7
las gentes de Edom e Ismael, Moab y los agarenos,
8
Guebal, Amón y Amalec, Filistea con los de Tiro;
9
también Asiria se ha unido a ellos y prestan su apoyo a los hijos de Lot. [ Pausa ]
10
Trátalos tú como a Madián, como a Sísara y Jabín en el torrente Quisón:
11
en Endor ellos fueron arrasados, sirvieron de abono a la tierra.
12
Trata a sus nobles como a Oreb y Zeb, a sus príncipes como a Zebaj y Salmaná
13
quienes decían: “¡Hagamos nuestros los dominios de Dios!”.
14
Dios mío, haz que sean como hojarasca, como una brizna ante el viento.
15
Como fuego que abrasa el bosque, como llama que devora las montañas,
16
así tu huracán los ponga en fuga y los llene de terror tu torbellino.
17
Cubre sus rostros de vergüenza y que ellos, Señor, busquen tu nombre.
18
Sean avergonzados y turbados para siempre, que sean deshonrados y perezcan;
19
que sepan que tu nombre es el Señor y sólo tú eres Altísimo en la tierra entera.
