Mi voz alzo a Dios y pido auxilio, mi voz alzo a Dios y él me escucha.

Cuando estoy angustiado busco a mi Señor, de noche alzo mis manos sin descanso y no acepto recibir consuelo alguno.

Recuerdo a Dios y me estremezco, reflexiono y quedo abatido. [ Pausa ]
4
Tú me impides cerrar los ojos, estoy inquieto y no puedo hablar.

Pienso en los días de antaño, en los años del pasado;

de noche recuerdo mi canto, reflexiono y me pregunto:

«¿Nos abandona para siempre el Señor y no vuelve nunca a aceptarnos?
8
¿Se acabó para siempre su bondad? ¿Ha cesado eternamente su palabra?
9
¿Acaso olvidó Dios ser compasivo? ¿Ha cerrado con ira sus entrañas?». [ Pausa ]

Y yo digo: «Esto es lo que me aflige, que el favor del Altísimo ha cambiado».

Recuerdo las proezas de Dios, recuerdo tus prodigios de antaño;
12
sobre todos tus actos medito, sobre tus hechos reflexiono.

Oh Dios, santo es tu camino, ¿qué dios es tan grande como Dios?
14
Tú eres el Dios que haces prodigios, tú muestras tu poder entre los pueblos;
15
con tu brazo redimiste a tu pueblo, a los hijos de Jacob y José. [ Pausa ]
16
Te vieron, oh Dios, las aguas, te vieron las aguas y temblaron, los abismos del mar se estremecieron;
17
las nubes vertieron lluvias, tronaron los cielos, zigzaguearon tus rayos.
18
Tu voz tronaba en el torbellino, los rayos iluminaron el mundo, se estremeció y tembló la tierra.
19
En el mar trazaste tu camino, en las aguas caudalosas tu sendero, y nadie descubrió tu rastro.
20
Cual rebaño guiaste a tu pueblo por medio de Moisés y Aarón.
