Señor, Dios salvador mío, día y noche ante ti grito.

Que mi súplica llegue a ti, que escuche tu oído mi clamor;
3
porque estoy harto de males y roza mi vida el reino de los muertos.
4
Me ven ya entre los difuntos, parezco un ser acabado.
5
Entre los muertos me encuentro, estoy como los que yacen en su tumba sin que tú ya los recuerdes, pues están alejados de ti.

En una fosa profunda me has dejado, en las tinieblas, en las sombras;

sobre mí ha caído tu ira, con tus olas me golpeas. [ Pausa ]

Has alejado de mí a mis amigos, me has hecho odioso para ellos; estoy encerrado y no puedo salir;

mis ojos se consumen de pena. Señor, a ti clamo sin cesar, hacia ti elevo mis manos.

¿Harás un milagro por los muertos? ¿Se alzarán para alabarte las sombras?

¿Se proclama tu amor en la tumba, tu fidelidad en el mundo de los muertos?

¿Se conocen tus prodigios en la fosa, tu justicia en la tierra del olvido?

Pero yo, Señor, te imploro, de mañana mi ruego a ti llega.

Señor, ¿por qué me rechazas y me ocultas tu rostro?
15
Débil, agonizante desde mi juventud, aguanto tus horrores y estoy desconcertado.
16
Tu ira ha pasado sobre mí, tus terrores me han destruido.
17
Como agua me rodean todo el día y me cercan todos juntos.
18
Alejaste de mí al amigo, al compañero, ¡las tinieblas me hacen compañía!
