Señor, guárdame de la garra del malvado, sálvame de los violentos, los que traman hacerme caer.

Me ponen trampas los soberbios, extienden una red bajo mis pies, junto al camino me tienden lazos. [ Pausa ]

Yo dije al Señor: “Mi Dios eres tú, escucha mi voz suplicante”.

Señor, Dios mío, mi fuerza salvadora, tú proteges mi cabeza el día del combate.

Señor, no cumplas los deseos del malvado, no dejes que sus planes prosperen; no permitas que se enorgullezcan [ Pausa ]

aquellos que me cercan; antes bien, que su propia maldad les sirva de castigo;

que caigan sobre ellos brasas ardientes, que sean arrojados a simas de donde no salgan.

Que quien calumnia no perdure en la tierra, que la desgracia golpee al violento sin cesar.

Sé que el Señor hará justicia al humilde, defenderá el derecho del pobre.
14
Los justos alabarán tu nombre, los rectos vivirán en tu presencia.
