چه نيكوست خداوند را سپاس گفتن و نام خدای قادر متعال را با سرود ستايش كردن!
2
هر صبح، از خداوند بخاطر رحمتش تشكر كنيد و هر شب، امانت او را به ياد آوريد.
3
او را با صدای رباب ده تار و به نغمۀ بربط بپرستيد.
4
ای خداوند، تو با كارهای خود، مرا شاد كردهای؛ بسبب آنچه كه برايم انجام دادهای، نغمههای شاد میخوانم.
5
خداوندا، اعمال تو بسيار با عظمت و شگفتانگيزند. افكار تو بینهايت عميقاند.
6
شخص نادان درک نمیكند و آدم احمق اين را نمیفهمد كه
7
هر چند گناهكاران مثل علف هرز میرويند و همۀ بدكاران كامياب هستند، ولی سرانجام، برای هميشه نابود خواهند شد.
8
اما تو ای خداوند، تا ابد باقی و از همه برتر هستی!
9
همه دشمنانت نابود خواهند شد و تمام بدكاران، از پای در خواهند آمد.
10
تو مرا همچون گاو وحشی نيرومند ساختهای و با روغن خوشبوی تازه مرا معطر كردهای.
11
نابودی دشمنانم را با چشمانم ديدهام و خبر سقوط گناهكاران را با گوشهای خود شنيدهام.
12
خداشناسان، همچون درخت خرما ثمر میدهند و مانند درخت سرو لبنان، رشد میكنند.
13
آنان همچون درختانی هستند كه در خانۀ خداوند نشانده شدهاند و شكوفه میدهند.
14
حتی در ايام پيری نيز، قوی و پرنشاط خواهند بود و ثمر خواهند داد،
15
و اعلام خواهند كرد: «خدا عادل است؛ او تكيهگاه من است و در او هيچ بدی وجود ندارد.»
