Daavidin psalmi. Herra, kuule rukoukseni, ota korviisi anomiseni. Vastaa minulle uskollisuudessasi ja vanhurskaudessasi.

Älä käy tuomiolle palvelijasi kanssa, sillä yksikään elävä ei ole vanhurskas edessäsi.

Sillä vihollinen vainoaa sieluani. Hän on ruhjonut elämäni maahan ja pannut minut pimeään kuin muinoin kuolleet.

Suo minun varhain kuulla armoasi, sillä turvaan sinuun. Osoita minulle tie, jota minun tulee kulkea, sillä sinun luoksesi ylennän sieluni.

Pelasta minut vihollisistani, Herra. [Sinä] minut suojaat.

Opeta minut tekemään sitä, mikä sinulle kelpaa, sillä sinä olet Jumalani. Sinun hyvä Henkesi johdattakoon minua tasaista maata.

Herra, virvoita minua nimesi tähden, ja vanhurskaudessasi auta sieluni ahdistuksesta.
12
Tuhoa viholliseni armosi tähden ja hukuta kaikki, jotka sieluani ahdistavat, sillä minä olen palvelijasi.
