és kezeink munkáját rendezd el rajtunk; és kezeink munkáját rendezd el.Mint aki a Magasságos rejtekében ül; a Mindenható árnyékában hál:

azt mondom az Urnak: Menedékem és váram; és Istenem, akiben bízom.
3
Mert ő szabadít ki téged a madarász tőréből; a vészes döghalál elől
4
tollaival fedez el téged: és szárnyai alatt menedéket találsz; pajzs és páncél az ő hűsége.
5
Nem kell félned az éj félelmétől; a nyíltól, mely nappal repül:
6
a döghaláltól, mely homályban jár; a dögvésztől, mely délben pusztít.
7
Elesik melletted ezer és jobbodon tízezer; hozzád nem közelít:
8
csak a szemeiddel nézed, és a hitetlenek büntetésének látod.
9
Ha - Uram, te vagy az én menedékem - a Magasságost tetted hajlékoddá:
10
nem érhet hozzád veszedelem; és csapás nem közelít sátorodhoz.
11
Mert angyalainak parancsol felőled; hogy őrizzenek minden utadon;
12
kezeiken hordoznak téged; meg ne üsd a kőbe lábadat.
13
Oroszlánon és viperán lépdelsz; oroszlánkölykön és sárkányon tiporsz:
14
mivel szeretettel csügg rajtam, megmentem őt; biztonságba emelem őt, mert ismeri nevemet.
15
Ha hív engem, meghallgatom, vele leszek szükségében; kiszabadítom őt és felmagasztalom őt:
16
hosszú élettel megelégítem őt; és gyönyörködtetem őt üdvösségemben.
