Odstąp od gniewu, porzuć zapalczywość! Przestań się złościć! To prowadzi do zła.

Niegodziwi i tak zostaną wytępieni, Ci zaś, którzy oczekują PANA, odziedziczą ziemię. ו

Jeszcze tylko chwila i przepadnie bezbożny; Spojrzysz na jego miejsce — a tam go już nie będzie.

Pokorni natomiast odziedziczą ziemię I będą rozkoszować się głębokim pokojem. ז

Bezbożny knuje zło przeciw sprawiedliwemu, Zgrzyta na niego zębami.

Pan jednak śmieje się z niego, On widzi, że nadchodzi jego kres. ח

Bezbożni dobyli miecza, napięli swój łuk, Gotowi są powalić ubogich oraz biednych, Wymordować postępujących uczciwie,

Ale ten miecz przeszyje ich własne serca, Ich własne łuki zostaną złamane. ט

Lepsza odrobina u sprawiedliwego Niż obfitość u wielu bezbożnych.

PAN sprawia, że człowiek może iść pewnym krokiem, Cieszy się On jego drogą.

Gdy się potknie, nie zostanie porzucony, Pan bowiem podtrzyma jego rękę. נ

Byłem młody i zestarzałem się, A nie widziałem, żeby sprawiedliwy pozostał opuszczony, Nie spotkałem jego potomków żebrzących o chleb.

Każdego dnia lituje się i pożycza, A jego potomstwo cieszy się błogosławieństwem. ס

Stroń od zła i czyń dobrze, A będziesz trwał na wieki!

Gdyż PAN kocha sprawiedliwy sąd I nie opuszcza Jemu oddanych — עPrzestępcy będą zniszczeni na wieki, A potomstwo bezbożnych zostanie wytępione.

Sprawiedliwi odziedziczą ziemię I będą w niej mieszkać na zawsze. פ

Usta sprawiedliwego rozważają mądrość, Jego język ogłasza słuszny sąd.

W swoim sercu zachowuje Prawo swego Boga I nie jest chwiejny, gdy stawia swe kroki. צ

Bezbożny czyha na sprawiedliwego, Szuka sposobu, aby go uśmiercić,

Lecz PAN nie zostawi go w jego ręku I nie dopuści, by mu wyrządzono zło w chwili sądu. ק

Oczekuj PANA i strzeż Jego drogi! On cię wywyższy, tak że odziedziczysz ziemię — Będziesz oglądał zagładę bezbożnych. ר

Widziałem bezbożnego okrutnika. Rozpierał się jak dorodne drzewo,

Ale przeminął; nie ma go już! Rozglądałem się za nim, lecz nie można go było odnaleźć. ש

Wzoruj się na niewinnym i obserwuj prawego, Przyszłość bowiem należy do niosących pokój.

Natomiast przestępcy zginą razem wzięci, Bezbożni nie mają przyszłości. ת

Zbawienie sprawiedliwych pochodzi od PANA, On jest ich zabezpieczeniem w czasie prześladowań.

PAN ich wspomoże i będzie ich ratunkiem; Uratuje przed bezbożnymi i wybawi od nich, Ponieważ w Nim szukali schronienia.
