Dávidov. Broj, Hospodine, proti tým, čo broja proti mne! Bojuj proti tým, čo proti mne bojujú!

Uchop štít a pavézu, povstaň mi na pomoc!

Vytiahni oštep a zataras cestu tým, čo ma prenasledujú! Povedz mojej duši: Som tvoja spása.

Nech sa hanbia a pýria tí, ktorí mi siahajú na život; nech s hanbou cúvnu tí, čo zamýšľajú moje nešťastie.

Nech sú sťa pleva vo vetre a anjel Hospodinov nech ich odbíja.

Nech je ich cesta tmavá a klzká a anjel Hospodinov nech ich prenasleduje.

Lebo mi bez príčiny nastavili sieť, bez príčiny vykopali jamu mojej duši.

Nech ho znenazdania stihne záhuba a nech ho polapí jeho sieť, ktorú nastavil; nech padne do nej na záhubu!

Ale moja duša jasať bude v Hospodinovi, radovať sa nad Jeho pomocou.

Nech všetky moje kosti povedia: Ó Hospodine, kto je ako Ty, čo pred silnejším zachraňuješ biedneho a biedneho i chudobného pred tým, čo ho zdiera?

Videl si, Hospodine, nemlč! Ó Pane, nevzďaľuj sa odo mňa!

Prebuď sa, povstaň kvôli môjmu právu, Bože môj, Pane, kvôli môjmu sporu!

Prisúď mi právo, Hospodine, Bože môj, podľa mojej spravodlivosti, nech sa nado mnou neradujú.
25
Nech si nemyslia v srdci: Aha, to sme chceli! Nech nepovedia: Pohltili sme ho!
26
Nech sa zahanbia a spolu prídu do rozpakov tí, čo sa tešia z môjho nešťastia; nech sa priodejú hanbou a potupou tí, čo sa vypínajú nado mňa.
27
Nech plesajú a radujú sa tí, ktorým sa páči moja nevinnosť; nech ustavične hovoria: Veľký je Hospodin, ktorý dožičí šťastie svojmu sluhovi!
28
Môj jazyk bude hlásať Tvoju spravodlivosť a každodenne Tvoju chválu.
